Ronna McDaniel is the RNC Chair that everyone seems to love to hate. Many have accused her of not providing the fundraising dollars where they need to go, which is why many of the GOP elections are being lost.
With so many people leaving her corner, it’s shocking that she hasn’t been replaced.
Now, she’s announced when she’ll finally step down so that a new chair can be named.
She made her announcement to the New York Times, stating: “I have decided to step aside at our spring training on March 8 in Houston to allow our nominee to select a chair of their choosing. The R.N.C. has historically undergone change once we have a nominee, and it has always been my intention to honor that tradition. I remain committed to winning back the White House and electing Republicans up and down the ballot in November.”
There’s no telling who will run in her place. However, if it is the same roster as last year, we could expect to see the following names once again:
- Mike Lindell
- Harmeet Dhillon
- Lee Zeldin
Since none of those individuals were able to take McDaniel in the last election, there is the hope that the Republican National Committee will see some fresh blood.
The “red wave” that was supposed to take the nation in 2022 never materialized. As such, many want to see someone who is committed to the cause and ensuring that donor dollars are used in the best way possible.
If we pay attention to who Trump wants to see in the position, we’ll see Michael Whatley, who is currently the NCGOP Chair and has already received Trump’s endorsement. Oh, and guess who would be the co-chair? That would be Lara Trump, Trump’s daughter-in-law.
There’s no way of knowing what will happen just yet. We’ll know more in less than a month. At least we can finally move forward with confidence knowing that McDaniel will no longer be a part of the RNC atmosphere.
