Salon writer Amanda Marcotte took to her rag of a magazine to try and peddle more of her liberal influence on the dumbest people of NYC. In an article rife with buzzwords and rage-inducing links to mainstream media covering the attacks on random women across NYC, she tries to drum up as much rage as possible.
Connecting the dots, she boils down the attacks to the basics. She says “most” of them were young, pretty, and simply minding their own business. She then goes on a tangent from there by claiming that men are randomly attacking women for not immediately paying attention to them, just like clips on TikTok show.
“These stories resonate, as well, because the nation is having a moment of increasingly unhinged male fury at women for daring to have lives that are centered around something other than catering to a man’s every whim.”
Her rant suddenly turns to Trump and MAGA. “Unleashed by Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, there’s an upswell of loud male entitlement shouting at us from every corner… Or MAGA pundits telling lies about birth control, in hopes of tricking women into having babies before they’re ready. Or conservatives writing op-eds that blame women for male loneliness, telling women they must self-sacrifice to relieve male pain by marrying Donald Trump voters.”
It’s funny, for such a “strong liberal woman” she tries to portray, Marcotte can’t seem to keep Donald Trump out of her mouth.
Looking through her catalog of work, she focuses more on Trump and what he has allegedly done or led others to do than she does on what liberals accomplish on their own. In essence, this man gave her a career and has allowed her to keep it by simply taking in oxygen. Her rants are held together by popsicle sticks, hopes, dreams, and a very liberal editor who must be receiving hazard pay for dealing with her toxic writing.
While it is horrific that these women were attacked and these men need to be jailed, Marcotte needs to pay attention to the facts. Of the three men arrested so far in these attacks, two were card-carrying Democrats and political activists. The lone Republican? A man with well-documented mental problems that the NY penal system refused to keep locked up thanks to liberal laws.
It’s time she learns what a real criminal looks like.
