VP Harris Can’t Understand How To Read Gun Death Figures

The day after the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade, Vice President Kamala Harris took to X to share her views on guns in the nation. “Gun violence is the number one cause of death for children of America—not some form of illness or car accidents. It doesn’t have to be this way. I call on Congress and state legislators to have the courage to act by passing commonsense gun safety legislation.”

This is not her first attack on guns; back in July 2023, she shared a graphic with the same claim written on it.

As a Breitbart study discovered then and reiterated now, firearms accounted for 2,281 deaths in 2020, whereas automotive accidents racked up 2,503. Numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) account for this and go even further. In the bigger picture, kids are 27 times more likely to die in an automotive accident than an accidental gun death. Even unintentional suffocation ranked ten times higher.

Using this false data as a poor attempt to support her push for universal background checks and bans on so-called “assault weapons,” she’s been grasping at straws. This kind of argument from the liberals has been around for decades, and the numbers just aren’t supporting the argument. A massive list of new laws, regulations, and checks have been proposed, all of which do nothing but restrict the Second Amendment.

If the liberals are so hyped up to fight against the Second Amendment, they can change their other policies. It’s no coincidence that the numbers started going up when the liberals started glorifying the single-mother relationship, emasculating men, and discouraging masculinity. Bring back the nuclear family, positive and strong male role models, and being a good human being. Sticking up for those who can’t defend themselves but doing so from a fair perspective. Not one that thrives on raising one group by dragging another down.
