Is a Trump/Musk pairing in the works? That certainly seems to be the case after reports that the two have met in person recently.

According to The New York Times, former president and current presidential candidate Donald Trump met with a number of Republican and potential donors recently in Palm Beach, Florida. One of those donors was Elon Musk.

Why?

Well, as a meeting with donors usually goes, unnamed sources have said that Trump is attempting to “shore up his finances.”

Now, so far, no word has been made on whether or not Musk will contribute his vast wealth to the MAGA cause and Trump’s presidential election. But the sheer chance of it could be a game changer.

As you likely know, Trump has had a series of victories lately, both in his legal proceedings and in the polls. In fact, at this point, it’s hard to imagine anyone but him winning the GOP nomination.

However, as you also know, campaigning and continuing to win elections costs quite a pretty penny. And as of late, with all of Trump’s legal fees, Trump is reportedly spending more than he is raising, not for lack of effort, of course.

And so, it should be no surprise that he would reach out to big hitters and big names like Musk for some potential financial support.

The question is, will Musk agree to such?

In the past, Musk has donated to both Democratic candidates and Republicans alike. However, as you might have noticed, he become increasingly right-leaning in recent years, leaning more to believe a possible alliance with someone like Trump is indeed likely.

And since taking over social media giant, X, formerly known as Twitter, he’s only supported the right more.

It was Musk who reinstated Trump’s then-Twitter account. And it was Musk who gave former Fox News host Tucker Carlson a new home on his platform.

And if you haven’t noticed, he’s been no small critic of Joe Biden, in particular, his open borders.

so the possibility is definitely there. And now it’s been reported that the two have met in person at least once. And Trump is angling for more meetings, preferably one on one.

I mean, can you imagine if Musk not only politically endorsed Trump but financially did so. If you thought Trump was unstoppable before, this would put him on a whole other level.

The Democrats can barely touch him as it is. If Musk’s finances were behind him, not only for an election but also a presidential tenure, it would definitely be the end of Biden’s career, possibly the whole Democratic Party’s.

Wouldn’t that be something?

Then again, it may never happen. If anything, the mere possibility just makes this election all the more unusual and intriguing.
